 Line Dancing - For framing or posting
Before Sarah persuaded Beryl that yoga classes would be a good idea, she joined
a line dancing class to keep fit. However, she kept forgetting the steps and
turning the wrong way and had a lot more success painting her fellow dancers.

The Fun Run - For framing or posting
The Great North Run goes past the end of Beryl's main road and she generally
goes out to cheer the runners along. (That's her with the "Hello Bill and Linda" sign for Sarah's running friends who took part one year.) This is definitely the tail end of the bunch. Paula Radcliffe passed by several hours before.

Playtime - For framing or posting
A traditional park based on the one where Beryl took her grandsons when they
were small. (You can see them in the picture.) Three bears wear the football
shirts belonging to Beryl's local teams: Newcastle, Sunderland and South
Shields.

Central Station - For framing or posting
Geordies will recognise Newcastle Central Station, which Beryl passes through on the way to visit her daughters in
London and York. (Her grandsons feature at the front again.)

Wildfowl Park - For framing or posting
This was originally painted for the waterfowl park in Washington, Tyne & Wear, where Beryl had an exhibition of her watercolours. Waterfowl experts can match the ducks to the costumed bears. ( Of course, they don't really allow people to play trumpets ar the trumpeter swans or lead mandarin ducks around like pets.) "Plodging" is a wonderful Geordie word for padding.
